So, I failed planning for Father’s Day this year. I normally spend plenty of time coming up with ideas and making gifts like your typical cheesy (& super sappy) wife and daughter, but this year? I failed. It snuck up on me, and before I knew it – we were here.
So last night, as I was sitting in my office wondering what the heck I was going to do because I knew it was too late to go to a store and try to find something, I came up with an idea. A few months ago when I was looking up anniversary ideas, I had read some articles about date night scavenger hunts. Well, I talked to Kris & we decided that is exactly what we would do on Father’s Day. So last night I spent some time online looking up different ideas, and coming up with some of my own. I put together one list to use to take selfies together, and another where you and your spouse can split up and meet up at the end. Although, some of the ideas are focused on a “couple”, we were still able to put it to use as a family and it turned out to be a lot of fun! 🙂
To get started – head to the store of your choice with each of your lists and separate. We went to Target for ours. Find all the items on your list and meet back at the front of the store. Obviously, the first one to get to the front of the store wins, – and you pick the prize! Do you buy the items in your cart? Well, that’s up to you! Download the free lists below 🙂
We used the selfie scavenger hunt instead so we wouldn’t have to split up. It was super fun, and I’ve included it here so you can use it, too!
Here are a few photos from our hunt 🙂
A food we both ate in the last week
A toy we both had when we were younger
Something you use outside
Pose with a mannequin
Something to relax in
Something that helps you loose weight
My favorite – create a battle scene!
Have fun! 🙂 Life’s too short to be too serious. <3
