Norden academy – 7th grade remote learning

During the first school shutdown in 2020, Cameron was required to do two “family science projects” per week for the last quarter of the year. Home Science Tools was an excellent way for us to easily have ideas and supplies at our fingertips. They had quick delivery and the kits included everything we needed, then we used an app called “Video Music” to compile everything into one video so he could upload to Google Classroom. His teacher was really impressed & actually recommended Cameron submit for a nationwide science fair to try and win a scholarship. 🙂

Check out some of the projects we completed!

How to purify water 💦 😊🤓
CSI Edition. ☺️😎🤓
Newton’s Cradle
Hair Analysis using a microscope I borrowed from work. We compared cat hair, deer hair, and Lucy’s hair. Then we had 5 human hair samples to analyze – 4 suspects and one from the crime scene. Cameron was able to figure out the correct suspect who matched the evidence found at the crime scene! 🤓🙂
Can a liquid become a solid with heat? 😉🤓💕
Learning how to use Excel and making pixel art of a snare drum 🤓
So. This was my “mom fail” . I had bought a set for each of us to figure out our blood type. However, Kris went first and Cameron turned super white and was pretty much terrified. Needless to say, we passed on finishing this experiment 😂🤦🏼‍♀️
